Service Advisor – Honda

Our Service Advisors are the face of our service department.  That means greeting every customer with a smile and using your customer driven personality to understand their repair needs while making them feel confident that these repair needs will be met.  You’ll also act as a liaison between the customer and our Service Technicians, ensuring you are keeping the customer up to date on repair times, estimates, and when the vehicle is ready for pick up.
On a typical day, this will include:

Upselling additional services using low pressure, high integrity methods
Providing accurate repair/maintenance estimate
Adhering to policies on vehicle care and operation
Following up on each repair, keeping customers informed of progress, and notifying customers when vehicles are ready for pick up
Reviewing and explaining  repairs and associated costs with customers
Handling minor customer concerns and complaints and keeping Service Manager informed of potential issues
Maintaining Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores in accordance with dealership standards

What you bring:

High School Diploma

Although equivalent education/experience will be considered, 3-5 years related automotive experience required (ASE Honda Certified technicians preferred)

Texas Driver License

State Inspection License (preferred)

Solid skills and a strong work ethic

What you’ll be doing:

Examine and diagnose vehicles

Discuss repairs with shop foreman or service advisor

Provide labor estimates and communicate additional service requests to the Service Advisor

Plan work in cooperation with shop foreman

Monitor repair time and update Service Advisor

Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation.

Assist in mentoring technician trainees

Attend Company and factory training and keep current with factory technical bulletins

Understand and follow Federal, State and Local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste

Express “Lube” Technician – Honda

The Requirements

The capability to read/comprehend written instructions and information
Familiarity with all aspects of automotive repair/maintenance
A valid Texas Driver’s License and be able to operate manual transmissions
Prior experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice would be highly desirable
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
The capacity to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
Work in seated position for long periods while operating controls with arms and legs
The capability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment
The Responsibilities

Performing multipoint inspections and communicate additional service/repair need to service advisors
Servicing universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using grease guns
Inspect fluid levers in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings and shackles
Checking tire pressure, adding water to radiators and replacing oil and air filters
Lubricating moving parts with specified lubricants
Draining oil from crankcase and refilling with oil
Inspecting all vehicles for additional repairs

Experience in dealership management, automotive sales, retail sales, warranty processing or customer service/support are encouraged to apply.
  
RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for helping our customers arrange the financing of their purchases and presenting them with additional products that enhance their vehicle and ownership experience.

Proficient at structuring deals for maximum profitability and collectability

Fully proficient with title laws and registration process

Maintains proficiency and certifications as required for the position

Accurately desks deals, submits deals to lenders for approval, makes credit decisions, and effectively closes deals

Ensures all deals are fully compliant with local, state and federal guidelines

Prepares paperwork, contracts and delivers deals

Accurately audits team deals Post-Sale

Ensures the expeditious funding of all contracts

 
QUALIFICATIONS

College degree preferred or equivalent experience

Knowledge of dealership finance and insurance procedures

Professional personal appearance & excellent communication skills.

Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills
